from A House in the City, October 26, 1975 [first home tour of the Trinity Park Association]:

1022 West Trinity Ave. A Dutch colonial style house built in 1918 for Edwin Pusey, superintendent of Durham City Schools who came here from Baltimore. The unobtrusive side staircase which opens to both the front and back of the house is a notable feature of the Dutch colonial style. The kitchen was remodeled in 1970 with beautifully crafted cherry cupboards. In the rear is a delightful stone patio. Home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Gray Rogers.
